WARNING: Transitioning to Graphic Design Blog

It’s been a while, I know. Truthfully, it wasn’t because I had nothing of interest to write, it was because I needed a break from the cancer. Being done with chemo is a huge step, and it was such a relief that I no longer had to deal with it anymore. I spent my time getting back to normal and trying to put the past behind me. Of course, it will always be a huge part of my life, but it no longer needed to be the most important part of my life.

That is why I’m writing this blog post. I’m here to say goodbye to that part of this blog, the part that let’s all of you know how I’m doing. Because, to me, I’m back to normal. Yes, I am so tired all the time, and getting over the chemo and getting back to work has been tough. But I love being back to my “normal.” Now that I’m normal again, I have begun updating my blog to my original purpose, which is a graphic design blog and personal branding website. I know that most of you probably aren’t interested in that, and I completely understand if you want to unsubscribe (which you should be able to do on the email you get with this blog post).

When I purchased my domain and set up the site for hosting, I had planned on it being for a design blog only. That was just a few months before my diagnosis, and so I never got the opportunity to do that before I decided to start writing about my cancer journey. I am so excited that, even after the slight hiatus, I’m able to get back to my original plan. Of course, I probably will occasionally write about how I’m doing or how the cancer has affected me, but that will be a tiny portion of my posts. This design website is my dream, and now that I’m over the big mountain that was my cancer, I’m able to finally follow it.

A big part of this new website is my plan to launch a custom invitation design business, focusing mostly on wedding invitations. I have such a passion for this, it only makes sense to begin following my dream and working towards making a living on doing what I truly love.

Thank you all for your continued support through my journey, please don’t hesitate to ever reach out if you want more information on how I’m doing.

Also, just as a warning, I am working quickly to make my website fully functional for my custom invitation design business. This means that I will be posting a large amount of informational blog posts related to helping clients figure out what they want from their invitations. This will focus a lot on weddings, printing, etc. I just wanted to issue a warning so you know what to expect in the first few weeks here.

I will be posting on Facebook and on the blog when I am completely operational, so I would love if any of you who know someone who could use my services would pass along my information to bring in some business!
